DOT Compliance Program
The Department of Transportation requires compliance for the following industries:
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
- Federal Aviation Administration
- Federal Railroad Administration
- Federal Transit Administration
- Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration
- United States Coast Guard
Employers must provide the following:
- Written policy
- Supervisor training (varies on length/frequency between administrations -
call us for your regulatory requirements)
- Employee education
- Referral information for Substance Abuse Professionals
- Drug and alcohol testing:
- pre-employment
- random
- reasonable suspicion
- post accident
- Return-to-Duty
- follow-up
The Council provides the following services:
- Policy review/development
- Supervisor training - in person and on-line
- Employee education - in person and on-line
- Substance Abuse Professional services
- Designated Employer Education Program
- Drug testing and formal Employee Assistance Program referals
